MicroMeter™ 3 - Precision 2-Part Bead Dispenser

 

Small, yet accurate
 

MicroMeter 3 The servo-driven MicroMeter 3 meter/mix system dispenses precision beads of mixed, two-component reactive resins (silicone, epoxy, etc.). The system is designed to dispense micro-beads whose total volume is from 0.02 cc's to 3 cc's, depending upon the ratio.

Flexible
Dispensing precision beads with a servo system - including patterns with a complex bead path - is faster and easier with the MicroMeter 3 system than ever before. The user can vary the dispense flow rate with a 0 - 10VDC signal to the servo controller, which is readily interfaced with the automation.

The MicroMeter 3 system’s components are remote mounted since many applications use a small XYZ table. Only the dispense valve is fixtured over the part. This remote mounting makes both the meter and controls easily accessible.

Precision components
The system’s power inlet and outlet valves, with carbide components, eliminate any material bypass that might alter the mix ratio.  Its hardened and ground meter cylinders and displacement rods insure precise volumetric metering of high to low viscosity materials with volumetric mix ratio’s up to 10:1 (pbv).  


Mixing & Clean Cut Off

Material components remain separate until they enter the mixer. Mixing with our Low cost, No-Flush™ disposable plastic mixer nozzle eliminates the need to solvent flush the mixer.

Controls
With its proximity sensors and remote PLC interface control panel, the system is ready to be integrated into an automated production operation.

The MicroMeter™ 3 design includes fixturing and locating / alignment holes.

Operation
Close coupled positive displacement meter rods, powered by a common servo motor, displaces proportioned volumes of resin and hardener out through the disposable static mixer / nozzle initiated by your dispense signal.

Dispense Flow Rate
The dispense rate is precisely controlled by inlet and outlet flow control valves. This feature permits you to integrate the
MicroMeter™ 3’s operation with your automation to produce precise beads of mixed material.

Material Supply
The resin components must be supplied to the meter under pressure.  A wide range of available options include material cartridges, pressure supply tanks, and supply pumps.
