SeeFlo® 582 Adjustable Ratio Meter Mix Dispensing System

The SeeFlo® 582 is an air powered, fixed ratio meter / mix system for dispensing low to medium viscosity, two component adhesives and sealants, either continuously or in measured shots.

Meter Pumps

At the heart of the SeeFlo® 582 system are the air powered, fixed ratio, positive displacement, balanced, reciprocating meter pumps. Accurate ratio is insured as the two metering pumps are mechanically linked to a common air motor (4" or 6" diameter); the ratio does not require adjustment.

The pump's are precision machined from high quality carbon steel and include adjustable packings with wet-cups (moisture sensitive materials), glass filled Teflon seals, carbonised hardened meter rod, chrome bore, and hardened upper and lower seats. Stainless steel pumps are optional.

Models

SeeFlo® 582 - Use with low viscosity materials that are supplied to the meter with pressure tanks, low pressure pumps, or gravity feed systems.

SeeFlo® 582HV - Use with high viscosity materials that are supplied to the meter by high pressure ram mounted pumps.

Operation

When a dispense cycle is initiated, the meter pumps displace the two material components and pressure feeds the metered material to the dispense valve.

Continuous Dispensing

When the SeeFlo® 582 is actuated, dispensing of mixed material continues uninterrupted until manually stopped. Flow rates are altered by varying the air motor's operating air pressure. Fluid pressures can be monitored using the integral pressure gauges.

Shot Dispensing

The shot version of the SeeFlo® 582 dispenses a measured 'shot' of mixed material when actuated. A manual shot size adjustment includes hard stops (for repeatable shots sizes) and limit switches to initiate reload. The volume dispensed (up to 154cc's) per cycle depends on metering cylinders selected.

Automated Operations

Dispensing with the 582 may be integrated into an automated application through optional PLC's, shot counters, auto-purge controls etc...

2200-250-000 Series Dispense Valves

Manual and automatic Snuf-Bak™ or No-Drip® dispense valve models are available. When actuated, the valve opens and metered material enters the valve's disposable No-Flush™ mixer. The mixer / nozzle thoroughly blends the A and B components and since it is disposable, solvent flushing is unnecessary. Mixers are available in different lengths, diameters and number of mixing elements to suit the material being mixed. These dispense valves are also available in carbon or stainless steel wetted components, with a variety of internal seal options, several handle configurations (electric or pneumatic triggering).

Typical applications for the SeeFlo® 582 include battery manufacture where multiple dispense valves are opened and closed sequentially by a PLC dosing control system to enable the lead plates to be locked in place using a 2 part urethane. See our application story for further details.
